In order to apply for the Advanced Operations Pilot Certificate, the operator must successfully pass the Remotely Piloted Aircraft System– Advanced Operations exam, and then subsequently complete a flight review.
The objective of the flight review is to verify a pilot’s ability to fly their RPAS in the advanced environment safely while adhering to proper procedures.
The RPAS pilot must demonstrate the following abilities during the flight review:
